Emotional Wear and Tear

Think of your emotions like the tread on a tire. Over time, small stresses wear you down. Arguments, deadlines, and constant multitasking may not break you individually, but together they cause “emotional wear and tear.” This leads to irritability, exhaustion, or withdrawal.

To prevent it, practice regular “emotional maintenance” such as journaling, walking, talking things through with trusted friends, or engaging in relaxing hobbies. Just as you wouldn’t drive on bald tires, don’t ignore your own emotional signals. Early care keeps your resilience strong.
