Emotional First Aid

We treat physical injuries quickly, but often ignore emotional ones.

“Emotional first aid” means taking immediate steps when you feel hurt, rejected, insecure, ignored, angry, lonely, or anxious. This might look like journaling, reaching out to a supportive friend, practicing grounding techniques, watching a comfort show, listening to music, or taking a walk.

Addressing distress early can prevent small hurts from becoming deeper wounds.
